EE, O2, Vodafone and Three cover the country. EE has the widest rural reach, and 5G is in every major city.

The Scottish Highlands, parts of Wales and the Lake District have known gaps. On intercity trains the signal comes and goes, and the London Underground has coverage at a growing number of stations but not in every tunnel.

How much data do you need?

This is the important point: the UK has been outside the EU and EEA since Brexit, so roam like at home does not apply. Some Swedish operators voluntarily keep the UK in their EU zone and others do not, and the difference between the two is large.
